What the chatbot does on your number
Most Ghanaian businesses already sell on WhatsApp. The problem is the same twenty questions, typed by a tired staff member, while orders wait. The bot takes the repeat work and leaves the judgement to your people.
- Answers the questions customers send all day: price, stock, location, delivery, opening hours
- Takes an order with the delivery address and works out the total
- Sends a payment link for MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AirtelTigo Money
- Hands the chat to your staff, with the conversation so far
- Replies at night and on Sundays, when the shop is closed
- Puts every order in the sheet, dashboard or CRM you already use
What it will not do
- Invent a price, a discount or a delivery promise you have not approved
- Handle complaints or refunds on its own
- Give medical, legal or financial advice
- Send messages to people who have not contacted you
Anything outside the rules you approve goes to a person. That rule is in every bot I ship.
What a WhatsApp AI chatbot costs
Prices in Ghana cedis, before the build starts. Payment is 50% to start and 50% on delivery. Your written quote fixes the final figure for your scope.
| What you get | Price | Details |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp AI chatbot | From GHS 10,000 | On your business number: answers FAQs, takes orders, sends MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AirtelTigo Money payment links, hands over to your staff. Live in 4–12 weeks. |
| Website chatbot only (no WhatsApp) | From GHS 5,000 | A chat window on your website, trained on the same catalogue and FAQs. |
| Payment integration on your website | From GHS 3,000 | Mobile Money and card checkout through Paystack or Hubtel, if your site does not take payments yet. |
| CRM for the orders and chats | From GHS 10,000 | Optional. Customer records, order history and follow-ups in one place, if a sheet or dashboard is not enough. |
| WhatsApp message fees | Charged by Meta | Meta bills WhatsApp Business Platform messages separately. Your written quote lists them for your message volume. |
Every price we publish is on the pricing page.
How it works, from brief to launch
Step 1: Send me your brief on WhatsApp
Tell me what customers ask you most, what you sell, how they pay and who on your team should take over a chat. A price list or catalogue helps.
Step 2: Written scope and price in GHS
You get a fixed quote and a timeline before any build. Payment is 50% to start and 50% on delivery.
Step 3: We write the rules first
Your prices, delivery areas, opening hours, refund policy and what the bot must never say go into a written rule set you approve. The AI answers from that, not from guesses.
Step 4: Build and connect
We set up the WhatsApp Business Platform on your number, train the assistant on your catalogue and FAQs, connect Mobile Money payment links and route orders to the sheet, dashboard or CRM your team uses.
Step 5: Test with real chats
Your staff test it with the questions customers actually send, in English and, where supported, Twi, Ga or Ewe. We fix the answers it gets wrong before launch.
Step 6: Go live and hand over
The bot goes live on your number. Your team learns how to take over a chat, update prices and read the orders. Support after launch is a WhatsApp message away.
The whole build takes 4–12 weeks. A shop with one clear price list is at the short end; several branches or a link to your own system takes longer.
Who it is for
If your staff answer the same WhatsApp questions every day, a chatbot takes that work off them. If you get a handful of messages a week, you do not need one yet, and I will tell you so.
- Shops and boutiques
- Price and stock questions, orders with a delivery address, MoMo payment links.
- Restaurants and food vendors
- The menu, order taking, delivery fees by area, opening hours.
- Pharmacies
- Stock checks and opening hours, with anything clinical handed to a pharmacist.
- Hotels and guest houses
- Room rates, availability questions and booking requests passed to reception.
- Schools
- Admissions questions, fees schedules and term dates for parents.
- Salons and clinics
- Bookings, reminders and service lists.
Questions about WhatsApp AI chatbots
How much does a WhatsApp AI chatbot cost in Ghana?
At Doctor Barns Tech a WhatsApp AI chatbot starts from GHS 10,000. That covers the assistant on your business number, trained on your catalogue and FAQs, order taking, Mobile Money payment links and human handover. Meta charges WhatsApp message fees separately, and your written quote lists them. Payment is 50% to start and 50% on delivery.
Can the chatbot take orders and send a MoMo payment link?
Yes. It walks the customer through your catalogue or menu, collects the order and delivery address, works out the total and sends a payment link for MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AirtelTigo Money. The order then lands in the sheet, dashboard or CRM your team already uses.
What happens when the bot cannot answer?
It hands the chat to a person. Complaints, payment problems and anything outside the rules you approved go to your staff, with the conversation so far, so the customer does not have to repeat themselves.
Does it understand Twi, Ga or Ewe?
English is the default. Where the AI model supports it well enough for your customers, we add Twi, Ga or Ewe and the mixed English and Twi people actually type on WhatsApp. We test it with your staff before launch and tell you plainly where a language is not reliable yet.
How long does it take to build?
Four to twelve weeks. A shop with a clear price list sits at the shorter end. Several branches, a large catalogue or a connection to your own system takes longer. The timeline is in the written quote.
Can I keep my current WhatsApp number?
Usually yes. The bot runs on the WhatsApp Business Platform, so your number is connected to it. We check your number first and explain exactly what changes for you and your staff before the build starts.
Who owns the chatbot and the customer data?
You do. The chats, orders and customer details belong to your business, and we do not use them to train a public AI model.
Do you work with businesses outside Accra?
Yes. The studio is at 111 New Town Rd, Accra. Businesses in Kumasi, Tema, Takoradi, Tamale and elsewhere work with us on WhatsApp and video calls.
